Religious Education

Religious Education- Sacramental Preparation classes offered for 2nd - 12th grades.

*We understand that not everyone received their sacraments in 2 ^nd and 3 ^rd grade that is very common, we place students with their closest age groups and form classes that best work with each individual situation.  All ages and grade levels 2nd-12th are accepted.  Students in middle school and high school are placed in the youth program, Life Teen, for their sacramental preparation.

Classes meet on Tuesdays 5:30-6:45pm September-May.  We offer a two-year preparation program.     

Year one: prepares students for First Reconciliation.

Year two: prepares students for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. 

Continuing the Faith Formation process, we offer non-sacramental classes for 4 ^th through 6 ^th grades.

Classes meet on Tuesday 5:30-6:45pm September-May. 

 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd-   grades K-1 ^st

Sunday mornings 8:30-10:30am in the Atrium

Oder of Christian Initiation of Children – OCIC

OCIC is for children 7 to 18 years old and have never been baptized or are baptized in another Christian faith.  This is a two-year program similar to the sacramental preparation listed above. These children will receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil.

Volunteers needed, if you are interested in sharing your knowledge of the Catholic faith teaching the children and preparing them for the sacraments helping as a catechist, aide, or substitute please contact Erin Sowar.
